BRITISH TEST FOR RAFA AT WIMBLEDON
June 25 | 06

Rafa will begin his 2006 Wimbledon campaign against British wild card, Alex Bogdanovic. Rafa is seeded number two at the All England Club Championships and he will create a stir when he takes on his British opponent on Tuesday in SW19.

Bogdanovic has promised much during his time on the ATP circuit but the youngster is yet to deliver on the big stage. Currently ranked 134 Yugoslavian born Bogdanovic has won two challengers this year but he will be facing an entirely different prospect when he takes on the French Open Champion, Rafael Nadal.

Also in Rafa's quarter of the draw are fifth seed Ivan Lubicic and number nine seed Nicolay Davydenko , with Roddick, Hewitt and Gonzalez all figuring in his half of the draw.

Rafa was unable to play his second exhibition match on Friday at the Hurlingham Club. The 20 year old Mallorcan twisted his ankle slightly on Thursday and decided it was best to rest it in anticipation of Wimbledon.

But rest assured his manager Carlos Costa is confident he will be 100 percent fit by Wimbledon.
Wimbledon begins on Monday with Swiss, Roger Federer officially opening the tournament as defending champion against Richard Gasquet.
Stay tuned for all the latest news. Good luck Rafa!
